This class is for you if :

you are a curious and ready to learn, you are looking for inspiration and direction in self drafting garments ~ maybe youre a beginner and want instruction to develop and nurture your sewing skills and dip into garment making or maybe you want to follow the instructions as a skilled seamstress to regain your sew-jo and find more intuitve ways to make clothing aside from patterns.

this class is not for you if :

Course Details :

** Each class will have several garment tutorials within it. You will learn how to make each garment from start to finish and learn variations and adjustments for them. Throughout each tutorial you will learn several sewing techniques to add to your “tool box” including, but not limited too, shirring, elastic casings, drawstring casings, making and using bias tape, serging, button holes, facing, French seams, gathering, finishing anddddd loads more!!
** do not let this intimidate u if ur a beginer ~ we go slow
slow and practice a lot :)
** you do not need a serger to take this course, I will show you techniques to finish clothing without a serger.

** we will also be covering loads of information about fabrics, threads, tools / needles, and fiber sheds.

** this class will be all self drafted, which means we will use our own clothing to create measurements needed for each piece. We will not be using patterns ( I just really dont vibe with patterns ~ they are not good for my creative approach and they feel restrictive. this is why I want to teach more intuitve approaches to garments.) this is why we are here!!

** we will cover the basics of creating patterns for the pieces but this is not a pattern making/ scaling course.

Disclaimers ~

** classes will be very informal and relaxed. We are not looking to turn you into a world renound seamstress, we are truly hoping this can be a beautiful creative practice that brings you joy. ~ we want to promote living slow, being resourceful, wearing making and loving handmade goodies, and being so so sweet with your self as you learn.

** you do not need to know much about sewing to take this course but we DO recommend that you know your way around your machine.
The reason here is so that when things inevitably go awrie you can fix and handle them without major roadblocks. I have created a resource here for those who want to brush up on sewing machine info before taking this class.( I do also have a resource in this course that covers the basic basics!! ( ie. threading machines, bobbins, etc. )

** we will not be teaching you how to make everything ~ this course is designed to walk you through a set of pieces that use several different techniques to level up your skill set. . Each piece in the course is HIGHLY adjustable and customizable and I will chat through many of these areas.
** if you are a TOTAL beginner I might recommend you to follow the pieces closely as practice and then venture into adjustments and customizations.

***** With that being said we want to inspire you to make whatever your heart desires and the true goal for these classes is to bring you to a place where you have a good enough understanding of each technique and how to apply it that you can design and create a piece that lives in your mind. ~ that is why we won’t use patterns, so you can see the more intuitive side to sewing and drafting clothing and it can feel more free form and less rigid.

** No refunds will be granted at this time ~ ~
